CONGRATULATIONS KATE ZIDEK,
2019 VOLUNTEER EXCELLENCE IN THE ARTS RECIPIENT
Kate Zidek is a finance professional with a passion for philanthropy. Since 2011, Ms. Zidek has served on the Methodist Home for Children Foundation Board (MHCF). In addition, Kate recently joined the Board of the Foundation for Delaware County and completed her Board tenure with The School in Rose Valley. Currently, Kate works as an Investment Officer for Argo Capital Group with prior experience in Investment Banking, Institutional Investment Management, and Institutional Equity Sales. She is a resident of Delaware County, where she graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Kate represents The Zidek Family Foundation in grantmaking that is focused on bettering the lives of children. Kate’s passion for the work of the MHCF Board is evident in her stewardship. She began her relationship with the organization as a donor but soon added greater value, engaging the organization as an active Board member, bringing unique expertise to a variety of issues. Whether Kate is helping to advance new fundraising initiatives, evaluating HR policies and practices, introducing newcomers to Methodist’s work or forging community partnerships, she continues to demonstrate a love for Heritage Farm and to Methodist’s wide-ranging constituents. Kate feels there is a need inside of everyone to help create change. She fulfills that need by being active in nonprofit volunteer work, civic engagement, and her children’s school community. Kate works to uphold The Zidek Family Foundation mission: “We envision a world where every child is protected, encouraged, supported and given an opportunity to participate in the treasure that is life. Our mission is to offer support so that the lives of children may be enriched and filled with the hope and love they deserve.”

Methodist Services provides life enriching programs to children, adults and families as they face the challenges of limited resources, increased poverty, homelessness, disabilities and inequities in education. We provide early childhood education, school age programs, housing services, supports for families, mental health and counseling services, and nutrition programs.
